Acceptance is bliss

We often hear people saying, “Ignorance is bliss”, what I think is quite opposite though, which is “Acceptance is bliss”.

Knowing the truth and accepting it. The simplest and most difficult thing you can do is to accept it. Sometimes, it’s hard to be in a situation where we think not knowing the truth would keep up in a better place, safe, protected and secured. However, I think at the end of the day it’s more about knowing the truth and accept it. You don’t have to always control the so called situation, you really can’t, so you just let it be. Just like sometimes, people don’t need an answer or solution to their problems, but all they need is a listener who will give them their valuable time.

Easier said than done, we cannot change the past, neither the present, what we can do is change our perception. Instead of ignoring what we are feeling, we should rather introspect and know what we are actually feeling inside and work on it. Pretending being okay and unaffected from outside is not the right thing to do to yourself. Healing is not the purpose, it’s a process.

Someone has rightly said, “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
